MEET MAGGIE

Stress, grief, and trauma can distance us from our core selves, resulting in depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. My hope is to create space for clients to slow down, reflect, and heal. I work with those who are interested in gaining personal insight, integrating learnings, and reconnecting with their confidence and goodness.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, holistic, and intuitive. Since 2009 I have worked with clients to develop flexible, personalized plans that integrate activities from various evidence-based talk therapies. I have first-hand experience

  • working with mothers and families as they navigated new illness diagnoses, end-of-life care, and grief

  • supporting a wide variety of women who have struggled with infertility, as well as those who had prenatal needs

  • helping individuals work to shift old patterns that no longer serve them

As a 200 E-RYT certified yoga instructor, I can integrate trauma-informed yoga, breathwork, and meditation into sessions for those who are interested in somatic engagement. I did my 200-hour training with Joe Palese in the Anusara tradition. I’ve taken additional yoga trainings to learn about the intersection with trauma, chronic pain, psychological health, prenatal care, and addiction recovery as well as to gain greater insight concerning anatomy. Through these trainings I’ve had the opportunity to work with some other incredible instructors including Holle Black E-RYT 500; Marlysa Sullivan MPT, C-IAYT E-RYT 500; Tra Kirkpatrick C-IAYT, E-RYT500; Nikki Myers E-RYT500; and Carole Westerman E-RYT 500. I have experience working in a variety of settings, including private sessions, yoga studio, retreats, non-traditional settings (non-profit, for-profit office, prison, detention center), and virtually.

When not in session with clients, I enjoy playing with my two dogs, gardening, hiking, and practicing yoga.

I am an Associate Clinician of the Brookwood Center for Psychotherapy, supervised by Bryn Chafin.
